Never Doubt Your Intuition

by adminadam in home

never doubt your intuition
is like saying never doubt your strengths…
you know strengths turn into dust after a certain point, right?
(more precisely, it is at the point which we lovingly refer to
as “the dust point” that your strengths turn to dust…)

ahh – dusty, dusty strength…
inherent in your heart is a beast that’s not yet dusty.
so release the beast of intuition!
for it to devour your confusion and woes.

never doubt your intuition!
in it’s theoretical state,
is what i meant to say.
is what i meant to say..
is what i meant to say…

never doubt the power of your intuition
is like saying never doubt the ability of stupid people to band together,
and do much much stupider things in the aggregate.

your intuition can be really stupid sometimes,
has anyone ever told you that?

but still you, ideally, should never doubt the theoretical power
of your theoretical beast-of-an-intuition intuition,
or so they say…

’cause there’s times when you could sit around
not knowing what to do
thinking about dusty beasts until-you-turn-to-dust.
and then your strengths really would have turned to dust,
which is precisely what i was just trying to warn you about:
over-italicizing your in-tuition !!!

so just use your intuitional beast wisely,
with low-level italics and a dust-busting broom in hand,
but be wise about it, you intuitive wise-guy, you…

~

That’s all for now.
Don’t forget to tune in next week for our installment on:
“Never Doubting Your Own Wisdom”!

Old Man, Time

by adminadam in poetry

time

Old man time just keeps on running.
You can try to run with him.
You can try to run ahead of him,
but you’ll almost definitely trip.
You may lag behind him,
but he’s got a chain on your leg,
and he’s unstoppable,

so you’re gonna get dragged through the dirt,
and get all bruised up,
and it’ll be a terrible mess.
So pick yourself up.

Start running.
You may find your optimal pace
is actually the same as the old man.
Old men don’t run too fast, after all.
It could be fun
I mean,
you can actually decide
where to run.
You just gotta stick with the old guy…

Your intuition is the best direction,
whether it takes you through the forest,
to a friend’s house or yours,
to your enemy’s lair or the moon,
Follow it
at a good pace.
It’ll be the best run of your life.
